As humans we all face difficulties. Depending on what we look like and who we love, we may encounter more or less difficulties. We can’t eradicate all of life’s painful edges. We can take steps though not to sharpen these edges by learning to refrain from adding extra hurt (known in Buddhism as dukkha, a Pali term for suffering). We can also learn to more fully enjoy joy.
